Shefali Jariwala: June 28, 2025 Mumbai The death of a popular actress and a Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala was announced late in the night of June 27 after a sudden cardiac arrest. Her husband took the 42-year old to Bellevue Hospital, where physicians unfortunately pronounced her dead in hospital.
Last Rites Held at Oshiwara Crematorium
Shefali was cremated on June 28 at Mumbai, Oshiwara Crematorium with her father, brother and husband present at the occasion to perform the final rites by Hindu culture. The cremation ground is also very emotional since it is the same ground that actor Sidharth Shukla was cremated in the year 2021.
Both, Shefali and Sidharth had been previously seen in Bigg Boss 13 when both gained a large number of followers with their presence.
“She Was Like My Daughter,” Says Hindustani Bhau
Shefali was closely related to fellow contestant of Bigg Boss Hindustani Bhau (Vikas Pathak) in a brotherly like manner. Bhau was in mourning of her death outside RN Cooper Hospital as he spoke to media gurus:

During their time in the Bigg Boss house, Shefali even tied a rakhi to Bhau, solidifying their brother-sister bond.
Investigation Underway, Police Record 8 Statements
Following the unexpected killing, Maharashtra Minister of State Home Affairs, Yogesh, Kadam affirmed that an elaborate investigation is under progression. Talking to IANS he said:
The necessary information is being collected by the police. When we get any suspicion of foul game and when we get complaints, a deep investigation will be done. it is not speculating yet.”
Eight individuals who may include the family members, domestic staff, and the doctor who first attended to Shefali have already recorded statements given to the police. Although some reports state that the singer had suffered a cardiac arrest, official cause of death will be given when postmortem report is published.
