Annabelle Doll Missing: This week, panic grew on social media after some believed the haunted Annabelle doll was lost on a haunted tour that had stopped in Louisiana. When the old Nottoway Resort was destroyed by a fire, conspiracy theorists blamed the fire on the supposed ghost of Annabelle in the state.
Posts on X (formerly Twitter) exploded with disbelief:
“THEY LOST THE ANNABELLE DOLL?? LIKE?? THE HAUNTED ANNABELLE DOLL??”
“I just saw a post on Facebook that they LOST THE ANNABELLE DOLL? I’m fleeing the country goodbye.”
The doll, famously housed at the Warrens’ Occult Museum in Connecticut and linked to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, had been on a U.S. tour, sparking curiosity—and superstition—wherever it went. But when attendees at a recent exhibit in Louisiana claimed they couldn’t see the doll, online theories took flight.

However, paranormal expert Dan Rivera of NESPR quickly shut down the rumors. He posted a video showing Annabelle safely inside her glass case back at the museum.
“Some wild and crazy internet rumors this morning claiming that we lost Annabelle. She/it is NOT lost,” the post read.
Just because the hype has died down doesn’t stop people from being drawn to Annabelle. Where will our planet’s next stop be? San Antonio, Texas—people will certainly be closely watching the events.
